Nick Marinacci
High School/Middle School Principal
Nick Marinacci is the middle and high school principal at SBCSICA. Nick most recently served as Deputy Superintendent of NYC Alternative Schools. Before that, he was an executive principal and a principal in New York City and a teacher in both New York City and Washington DC. Some of Nick's awards include nomination as a Hometown Hero by the New York Daily News, a NYC Educational Technology Summit Award, The Austin H MacCormick Award for Outstanding Leadership, and selection into the Cahn Fellows Program for Distinguished Principals at Columbia University's Teachers College. Nick received a bachelor's degree in History from the College of William and Mary, a master's degree in Elementary Education from Lehman College, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Baruch College. He is proud to have entered the teaching profession through Teach for America and completed his principal training through New Leaders for New Schools.
